An Adirondack Wedding at the Lake House

Magical – that's what a wedding at the Lake House is. How could it be anything but magical when you're surrounded by rustic wedding accents and detailed interior design, breathtaking lake and mountain views, and an active destination with plenty of activities for all of your guests to partake in leading up to your big day? Bonus: with the whole property to yourself, you need not worry about weddings crashers.

To ensure the most exclusive wedding experience, we generally recommend renting out the entire Lake House property for your Adirondack wedding. We know, that seems like a lot... renting out an entire hotel property? But trust us, we're intimate, cozy, and the perfect place to start your lives together, and a wedding here comes complete with an expert coordinator to nail down all of the details for your special day. Renting out the entire house actually works out well for our wedding crowds, generally 50-100 people in size, giving you and your guests access to not only all 44 of our rooms, but free reign of our Great Room, and solo-access to the Lake House Bar and our other amenities. Let the good times roll.

Sample Lake House Wedding Itinerary

  • Day One: Your guests arrive to the Lake House, where they immediately see the stunning Great Room. One of our gracious hosts checks them in, offering to help them carry their bags to their room, and invites them to head to the Lake House Bar for a welcome cocktail. Later in the evening, they'll enjoy a BBQ-style rehearsal dinner on the lawn. Tell your guests to bring their a-game for endless games of corn hole, can jam, and bocce.
  • Day Two: While the bride and her bridesmaids get ready during a day at the resort's spa across the street, your wedding guests will be enjoying a day playing out on the water with our complimentary gear rentals, or exploring Lake Placid's Main Street. Later in the day, they'll head to the ceremony – dreamy location TBD – followed by dinner and dancing in the Great Room or outside on the lawn under an elegant tent. At the end of the night, your guests walk to their rooms, just steps away. No driving required.
  • Day Three: You, the bride and groom, begin your lives together with our romantic honeymoon package, while your guests enjoy one more day in paradise, lazing around at the pool, hiking in the Adirondack Mountains, or exploring Lake Placid with recommendations from one of our knowledgeable hosts.
