A Drop of the Pure: Saint Patrick's Day Cocktail Recipes

With Saint Patrick's Day right around the corner, we wanted to pay our respects to Ireland by taking inspiration from the beloved tradition of Irish storytelling in one of its most popular forms. This year, the cocktails at Dancing Bears Restaurant are inspired by Irish traditional song and music. So make yourself a tasty beverage, sit back and enjoy a few of our favorite tunes.

Sláinte!

Whiskey in the Jar

Our Whiskey in the Jar cocktail features, of course, Jameson Irish Whiskey, and in its copper mule mug (just the kind of mug we think a highwayman would have taken with him on the road) it makes as pretty a penny as our narrator took from Captain Farrell.

Brown Cailín

As with its inspiration, this cocktail is sure to make you smile. The brightness of the Champagne is a delightful addition to bitter and sweet earthy-ness of the stout making this a tasty cocktail that will tickle your nose for sure!

The Galway Races

This color block cocktail is a bold call out to the Irish flag and its flavors, much like attendees to the eponymous event, have origins from many different locations.

Black Velvet Martini

If ever there was a dangerous cocktail it's got to be the martini and we took inspiration for ours from one of the most dangerous girls in traditional Irish music.

Jamielynn Brydalski, Chief Cocktail Connoisseur

Hello Everyone,

You all know how much I love creating cocktails and hanging out with you at my bar! But did you also know that I have a huge passion for food and cooking? From my famous apple mash to alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations alike at Dancing Bears Restaurant and The Deck, I am always turning to Adirondack producers for inspiration for my seasonal creations. I hope you have as much fun with my amazing farm to bar and farm to table recipes as I had creating them.

Cheers and Bon Appetit,
Jamielynn
