Lake Placid Winter Itinerary
Friday Night
After checking-in to our Lake Placid resort, take a stroll down Main Street to the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery to sample the flavors of the season. With six beers on tap, there are plenty to choose from! While you're there, get a bite to eat from their pub menu. Spend the rest of your night enjoying a good movie at the Palace Theatre.
Saturday Morning and Afternoon
Get fueled up for a full day of adventuring each morning at Dancing Bears Restaurant. What will you try—the stuffed French toast or the eggs benedict? Now that you're fueled up, hit the slopes! Head to nearby Whiteface Mountain for a day of skiing or snowboarding. Prefer less vertical drop? Check out Cascade Cross Country Ski Center for a day of snowshoeing or cross country skiing—access to the trails is included with your stay at High Peaks Resort.
If you'd rather stay warm indoors, treat yourself at The Spa & Salon at High Peaks Resort. From massages and facials to manicures and pedicures, indulge in a winter spa treatment. Then, get the whole family, and take a dip in our pools! Both the indoor pool at High Peaks Resort and the indoor pool at Lake House are open year-round.
Saturday Night
Sip a winter-inspired cocktail at the bar at Dancing Bears Restaurant. Kick-off some friendly competition in the Lake House Great Room where board games are available for our guests' use.
Sunday Morning
Head across the street to ice skate on picturesque Mirror Lake. You might even see the Lake Placid dog sledding team zoom by!
Sunday Afternoon
Before departing back to reality, wander along Lake Placid's vibrant Main Street. Find the perfect Lake Placid souvenir at a local gift shop! Stop by the Lake Placid Olympic Museum to discover the history behind the Winter Games. If you want to visit more than one Olympic site for a discounted rate, purchase the Olympic Sites Passport.
