After spending the day skiing at Whiteface Mountain, gliding through the tree-lined paths at Cascade Cross-Country Ski Center, or ice skating on Mirror Lake, the adventure continues indoors at these unique attractions.

Lake Placid Olympic Museum
The Lake Placid Olympic Museum is a must-visit during a trip to this two-time Olympic Village. In 1932 and again in 1980, the village of Lake Placid hosted the games, and the exhibits showcase highlights from both. Discover the athletes, the triumphs, and the legacy of being a host to the world. Located within a short walk of the High Peaks Resort, take a stroll through Lake Placid's Olympic past.
The Wild Center
The Wild Center in Tupper Lake is a half-hour drive from the resort, and in winter, visitors can experience weekends filled with adventures and animal encounters. Take a behind-the-scenes tour and get a closer look at how the center harnesses green energy practices to power the exhibits, learn about otters during the Otter Program, or experience the thrilling views of Wild Walk. Open Fridays-Sundays during the winter season.
The Spa & Salon at High Peaks Resort
The Salon & Spa at High Peaks Resort offers a full-service spa menu with unique treatments infused with CBD oil or UBU Hops. Book a treatment before heading out to Whiteface or Cascade Cross-Country Ski Center, and look forward to relaxing after skiing. Post Rustics Furniture & Fine Arts is a short walk from the resort. Explore rooms filled with handcrafted treasures made by the Post family, as well as curated pieces from other artists who share a similar Adirondack sensibility and aesthetic. A few towns over in Bloomingdale, Red Canoe Antiques is a treasure trove of reasonably priced antiques. Closer to our doors, Just Bead It is a DIY-ers dream. Spend the afternoon creating a unique piece of jewelry that you can take home with you that day.

Après Ski at Dancing Bears, our on-site restaurant and bar. Toast a day of adventure on and off the slopes with drink specials. Up for a little cinematic drama?
