The Mother's Day 10K in Lake Placid, New York, is a brand-new off-road race along the Adirondack Rail Trail, with a start time of 11:30 a.m. at Bike Lake Placid. The out-and-back course is welcoming by design, with a generous 1:30 PM cutoff and a post-race celebration featuring food, drinks, music, and awards. Whether you are a seasoned trail runner or toeing the line for your first 10K in the Adirondacks, this one is worth the trip.

Can't leave the dog at home? Good news: the companion 5K9 event was made for you. Open to runners with dogs, runners with strollers, and everyone in between, the 5K9 benefits the Tri-Lakes Humane Society and the Adirondack Rail Trail Association. With youth, open, and masters categories across both races, and flowers awarded to the top five mothers in each division, the Mother's Day 10K and 5K9 in Lake Placid are a celebration built for the whole community, two legs or four.
